6.2  Overview of Tools Mode

■

 Setting the feature default values

This section explains how to set the default values of the features.  When you switch on the machine,
when the machine resumes operation after being in the Power Saver mode, or when the 

Clear All

button is pressed, the display of the machine will return to the default screen.  You can change these
settings to those frequently used for greater efficiency.  In addition, the default settings done here will
be reflected on the Basic Features screen, Added Features screen, Image Quality screen, and Others

Select the default value of Paper Supply on the Basic
Features screen.  If the setting for Reduce/Enlarge is

Auto %

, then you cannot select 

Auto

 for Paper Supply.

This default value will be effective for the Body Pages in
the Covers feature. However when you select Auto here,
the first priority tray will be the default for Body Pages.
Usually Tray 1 has the first priority.

Select the default value of Reduce/Enlarge on the Basic
Features screen.  Select the default value from the nine
preset ratios displayed.  The six preset ratios besides
100%, Auto %, and 50%, are selected from a list of 20
preset ratios found on the Reduce/Enlarge Presets
screen in Tools Mode.
If the setting for Paper Supply is
