heavyweight plus reload paper, gloss paper, gloss reload paper, extra heavyweight gloss 
paper, extra heavyweight gloss reload paper, and custom paper 1 to 5.

When copying or printing a document, the machine controls the image quality according to 
the type of paper set in [Image Quality] and the image quality processing method specified 
for that type of paper.

The following table shows available settings.

Meaning

Plain A (64-70 gsm)

Default setting for plain, punched, and custom paper 1 to 4. Paper 
having ream weight of 64-70 gsm.

Plain B (71-82 gsm)

Paper having ream weight of 71-82 gsm. 

Plain S (64-82 gsm)

This is for custom settings.Default setting for custom paper 5.

Bond A (83-90 gsm)

Paper having ream weight of 83-90 gsm.

Bond B (91-105 gsm)

Default setting for bond paper. 
Paper having ream weight of 91-105 gsm.

Recycled A (64-70 gsm)

Default setting for recycled paper. Paper having ream weight of 
64-70 gsm.

Recycled B (71-82 gsm)

Paper having ream weight of 71-82 gsm.

Recycled C (83-90 gsm)

Paper having ream weight of 83-90 gsm.

Recycled D (91-105 gsm)

Paper having ream weight of 91-105 gsm.

Heavyweight (HW) A (106-
135 gsm)

Default setting for heavyweight 1 paper. The image quality is 
suitable for postcards, and eco-friendly paper that is made of 
100% of farmed trees. Paper having ream weight of 106-135 gsm.

Heavyweight (HW) B (136-
157 gsm)

The image quality is suitable for postcards.

Heavyweight (HW) C (158-
176 gsm)

The image quality is suitable for postcards.

Heavyweight (HW) S (106-
176 gsm)

Normally, do not select this value.

Heavyweight A Reload (106-
135 gsm)

Default setting for Heavyweight Reload paper. The image quality 
is suitable for side 2 of the Heavyweight A paper.
