Rimontaggio cartelle
laterali
Pulire le superfici di accoppiamento
della testa e delle cartelle laterali.
Verificare che queste ultime non
presentino deformazioni o tracce di
rottura: in questo caso sostituire
senza indugio la cartella.
Controllare che le cartelle (
9 ) e ( 10 ), lato
distribuzione, dispongano dei perni per
il montaggio dei tenditori (Sez. N 4.2).
Per mantenere in posizione le
guarnizioni OR sulla testa ed evitare
che il loro spostamento, durante la
fase di accoppiamento delle cartelle,
possa pregiudicarne la tenuta,
ingrassare leggermente le sedi su
entrambi i lati della testa.
Disporre in corrispondenza delle sedi
dei perni bilancieri di chiusura la
guarnizione OR (5, ellittica), in
corrispondenza delle sedi dei perni
bilancieri di apertura le guarnizioni OR
(4, ROSSE) e in corrispondenza dei
condotti di passaggio acqua le
guarnizioni OR (6, VERDI).
Importante
Utilizzare ad ogni rimontaggio
guarnizioni O-Ring nuove. Fare
particolare attenzione a non scambiare
le posizioni di montaggio delle
guarnizioni (4) e (6) dimensionalmente
simili, ma di colore differenti.
Procedere all'accoppiamento della
cartella (2) sul lato opposto
distribuzione della testa, utilizzando
come centraggio le estremità dei
perni bilancieri di apertura.
Verificare, prima di impuntare le viti,
che la luce tra testa e cartella risulti
uniforme su tutto il perimetro, indice
di corretto posizionamento delle
guarnizioni OR.
Tenere premuta la cartella contro la
testa ed impuntare tutte le nove viti
di fissaggio.
Bloccare tutte le viti alla coppia di
serraggio prescritta, partendo da
quelle centrali e seguendo la
sequenza numerica riportata in figura.
Note
Fare attenzione che nella
cartella (1) va posizionato il
passacavo (11) con interposte le
rosette (
12 ).
Importante
Con il motore in funzione,
una procedura di serraggio diversa
da quella riportata, potrebbe
generare tensioni che potrebbero
determinare rotture sulle cartelle.
Refitting the cylinder
head side covers
Clean the mating surfaces of the
cylinder head and side covers.
Check that the side covers are not
deformed or damaged in any way:
if so, renew them immediately.
Check that the side covers (
9 ) and ( 10 )
on the timing side of the cylinder head
are equipped with the shafts for the
timing belt tensioners (Sect. N 4.2).
To hold the O-rings on the cylinder
head and prevent them from moving
while positioning the side covers,
which may compromise their
tightness, lightly grease the seats
on both sides of the head.
Fit the O-rings (5, elliptical) around the
closing rocker arm shafts, the O-rings
(4, RED) around the opening rocker
arm shafts and the O-ring (6, GREEN)
around the water duct.
Important
Always fit new O-rings on
reassembly. Take care not to
confuse O-rings (4) and (6) during
reassembly as they are of the
same size, but different colours.
Install the side cover (2) on the
opposite side of the head, using
the ends of the opening rocker
arm shafts as locators.
Before inserting the screws, check
that the gap between the head and
the side cover is uniform all around
its perimeter; this indicates that the
O-rings are correctly seated.
Hold the timing belt outer cover
pressed against the head and start
all nine screws.
Tighten the screws to the specified
torque, starting from those in the
centre and following the numerical
sequence given in the figure.
Notes
Note that the grommet (11)
with washers ( 12 ) is installed on
side cover (1).
Important
Tightening the screws in any
order other than that indicated may
generate stresses capable of breaking
the timing belt outer covers themselves
when the engine is running.
