Overhauling the rear
swingarm
Inside the swingarm (17), at the point
at which it pivots on the frame, there
are a pair of ball bearing races (9) on
the right side and a pair of roller
bearings (7), with seal rings (6), on
the left side.
To change the bearings, proceed as
follows.
From the RH side of the swingarm,
remove spacers (8) and (11) and from
the LH side, the two bushes (5).
Remove the bearings (9), seal rings
(6) and roller bearings (7) with a
punch and press. Support the
swingarm and take care not to
damage the bearing bores.
Important
Once removed, the
bearings (9), seal rings (6) and roller
bearings (7) must not be reinstalled.
Heat the entire swingarm up to
150 °C and support it.
Fit the new roller bearings (7) on to
special tool part no.
88713.1068
and, working from the outer side,
install them in their bores on the LH
side of the swingarm.
Drive them in until the tool is fully
inserted into the swingarm.
Revisione forcellone
posteriore
All’interno del forcellone (17), in
corrispondenza dell’asse di fulcraggio
al telaio, sono montati una coppia di
cuscinetti a sfere (9) sul lato destro e
una coppia di astucci a rullini (7), con
anelli di tenuta (6), sul lato sinistro.
Per la sostituzione dei cuscinetti
operare come segue.
Rimuovere dal lato destro del
forcellone i distanziali (8) e (11) e dal
lato sinistro le due boccole (5).
Rimuovere i cuscinetti (9), gli anelli
di tenuta (6) e gli astucci a rullini (7)
utilizzando un punzone adatto e una
pressa. Supportare adeguatamente
il forcellone e fare particolare
attenzione a non rovinarne le sedi
durante la rimozione.
Importante
I cuscinetti (9), gli anelli di
tenuta (6) e gli astucci a rullini (7)
rimossi non vanno più rimontati.
Scaldare il forcellone uniformemente a
150 °C e supportarlo adeguatamente.
Introdurre gli astucci a rullini (7)
nuovi nel tampone cod.
88713.1068
e inserirli dall’esterno nella sede
lato sinistro del forcellone.
Spingere fino a portare in battuta
l’attrezzo sul forcellone.
