Using Pedometer
<Pedometer>
Measure walking steps and time, then check your
daily amount of steps walked, walking distance, and
calories/fat burned.
■
Measurement
z
To get a more accurate step count, walk at a steady
pace.
z
Pedometer accurately measures steps no matter
which direction the phone is facing, but conditions
such as irregular walking patterns or vibration
(measurement stops when the phone vibrates) may
prevent an accurate step count. Walking distance
and calories/fat burned are calculated based on
your preset height, weight, and stride. Use
measurement data as an approximate guide.
z
When you start walking or change walking pace,
the display does not change to avoid miscount by
judging whether you start walking. The steps
appear after you walk 5 seconds (10 steps) or so.
■
Pedometer cautions
z
If the time is not set, this function is not available.
z
Before operating the pedometer, stop in a safe
place. We cannot accept any responsibility for
accidents occurring while operating it.
z
Do not use the pedometer for any purposes other
than walking. When walking and using the
pedometer, make sure you are in a safe place.
z
You can set your stride automatically in
“Calibration” (p.354).
z
When placing the phone in Carry Case S01
(optional), attach the case to your belt, etc.
z
When using a bag, pouch or other holders, place
the phone in a pocket or partition.
● きっちり歩数
(Reference steps)
When you continue walking for 10 minutes or longer
at a pace of 90 or more steps per minute, the steps
are counted as reference steps. Other walking is
measured as steps. Steps and reference steps are
counted separately, so you can easily check and
compare distance, time, etc.
Starting measurement
z
When measurement starts,
appears on the
standby screen. Even after Pedometer exits,
measurement continues until “Set pedometer” is
set to “OFF”.
z
Measurement data are not reset even when “Set
pedometer” is set to “OFF”. Data is added after
“Set pedometer” is set to “ON” and measurement
resumes.
z
Before using Pedometer, you can set conditions
such as your height, weight, and stride. Properly
set data will give you an accurate step count.

• You shuffle or walk irregularly with sandals,
geta, etc.
• You walk in crowded places
[Shakes or quakes occurring]
