ASSEMBLING INSTRUCTIONS - ELECTRIC QUICK-DISCONNECT HITCH (UP TO 2017)

STEP 5

Bolt the slotted link (item 1) to the hitch square lock pin

(item 2) with one 3/8” x 1-1/4” Ig hex. bolt (item 3) and

two 3/8” nuts (item 4) on each side of the lock pin eye

(item 5). Leave a clearance between the bolt head and

nut as shown to give free motion to the slotted link (item

1).

STEP 6

Connect the accessory wire (item 1) on the motor plug

and secure it with a nylon tie-wrap (item 2). Turn the

switch key ”ON” just enough to allow the motor to cycle

once. The motor being at the start position, adjust the

cam (item 3) by aligning it with the slotted link (item 6).

Tighten the flange nut (item 4). Tighten the three bolts

(item 5) on the motor. Torque flange nut (item 4) to (180

to 200 lbs-in) (20 to 23 N-m).

STEP 7

Before installing the guard, turn the key to carry out a

test, check again if the cam pivot is well centered in the

lower slot. Make sure lock moves sufficiently to unhitch

(item 1). Also make sure the lock reaches the bottom

of the hitch (item 2). Move the motor for the final ad-

justment by loosening and tightening its three bolts and

sliding it in the slot.

STEP 8

Unhook the chain from the hitch safety pin (item 1) and

attach it (item 5) to the guard (item 2) as shown. Install

the guard with two 5/16” x 3/4” Ig. flange bolts (item 3).

Tighten all bolts securely.

NOTE

: Keep area under the guard clean to allow free

motion of the cam.

DANGER: For road transportation and on hilly

working area, lock with the safety pin (item 4) to

avoid any hazardous unhooking.
