It is possible to adjust the height of the Forage Harvester
to suite the terrain conditions and the height of the trac-
tor draw bar.
NOTE:
An initial 18” ground clearance is recoended.
Readjust if necessary.

1. When replacing the cone (item 1), the collar of the
new cone should be heated in a warm water bath
(80
0
F or 27
0
C) and pull tube out (A).
2. To remove a rotating guard, place the jointed frame
in a vice then use a screwdriver to disengage the
three locks (item 2).
3. A guard bearing (item 3) should be placed in the
joint frame groove while the locking tags are placed
on the tube side.
WARNING: Make sure the new guards turn freely
after they are installed.
4. To assemble a rotating guard (item 4) push it in the
direction of the arrow, the locking tags will then be
well engaged.
ATTENTION: Chains (item 5) have been supplied
to prevent the rotation of the guards. These
chains should be tied both to the machine and
tractor.
