PRESSURE AND FLOW CHARTS FOR STANDARD

NOZZLE

When the Forage Harvester is equipped with a liquid

incorporation system, the operator can adjust the pres-

sure of the water flow.

NOTE

: The electrical connections must be done on a

protected circuit. The motor requires 5 amps to

operate. The white wire is positive.

HOW TO OPERATE THE LIQUID INCORPORATION

SYSTEM

The purpose of the liquid incorporation system is to

spread the crop with a liquid in order to avoid guing of

the crop or to add a preservative to the silage.

CALIBRATION PROCEDURES - FIGURE 132

The liquid incorporation system must be calibrated in or-

der to get the correct amount of liquid in the crop.
1. Fill up the tank with water; 3 or 4 gallons are suffi-

cient (11 to 15 L).

2. Adjust pressure to 30 PSI (207 kPa) (Figure 133).
3. Install an empty bucket (item 1) underneath the

spaying nozzle (item 2) in order to collect the liquid.

4. Operate the system for 1 minute. Make sure all of

the liquid goes into the bucket.

5. Measure the quantity of water collected in the buck-

et.

6. If the quantity of water collected is not satisfactory,

modify the pressure until the correct quantity is ob-

tained.

To adjust the pressure :
1. Refer to the tables on the left to choose the ad-

equate pressure according to the amount of liquid

the operator wishes to spread.

2. Adjust the pressure through a knob shown below.

Adjust by turning knob (item 1) then lock using ring

(item 2).
