ADJUSTMENTS - MAINTENANCE
Adjust the stop pawl arm to 0 up to 2 degrees towards
the rear. This will take the pressure off the cotter pin.
Use an adjustable wrench as shown below.

The four belts (item 1) of the Forage Harvester fan are
driven by a sheave on the cutter head main shaft. The
tension of these belts is maintained by a tightener (item
2). To adjust:
1. Loosen jam nut (item 4).
2. Adjust the bolt (item 3) until a 1/16” to 3/32” clear-
ance is obtained between each spring coil.
3. Tighten jam nut (item 4).
WARNING: Make sure that all movement of parts
in the Forage Harvester has stopped before
servicing or repairing the machine.

FAN AND TRANSMISSION BELT REPLACEMENT

To replace the three belts (item 1) of the main transmis-
sion box or the four fan drive belts (item 2), remove the
belt tension and the eight bolts (item 3) of the universal
joint shaft near the cutter head sheave in order to free
the universal joint drive shaft (item 4). When the new
belts are in place, reinstall the bolts (items 3) and tighten
them properly.
