ADJUSTMENTS - MAINTENANCE

STONE CARRIAGE ADJUSTMENT

FIGURE 240 AND FIGURE 241

1. Open the guard (item 11).
2. Adjust the stone carriage by loosening the nuts

(items 1).

3. Tighten the nuts (item 2) so that both upper rollers

(item 3) are pushed in the direction of the arrow.

4. Tighten nuts (item 2) securely.
5. Close guard (item 11).
6. Adjust the height of the stone (item 4) by pulling on

the carriage (item 11) to the right to lower the stone

and pushing to the left to raise the stone. When

pushing or pulling the carriage, use successive

short strokes. An automatic ratchet system (item 14)

and lock allows the operator to adjust the height of

the stone using the handle (item 12).

1. Open the guard (item 11)
2. Remove the jam nut (item 5), the flat washer (item 6)

and the spring washer (item 9).

3. Pull up the adjusting arm (item 13) and the stone

assembly.

4. Loosen the two nuts (item 8) and the two set screws

(item 7).

5. Unscrew the worn stone (item 4) to remove it.
6. Screw the new stone to the support, tighten the set

screws (item 7) and lock them with the nuts (item 8).

7. Lower the assembly to its original position, making

sure the spring washers (item 9) and the flat wash-

ers (item 10) are as shown below.

8. Tighten the plastic stop nut (item 5) until the proper

tension is obtained. Make sure the automatic ratchet

system is working properly.

9. Close the guard (item 11) in its original position.
