ASSEMBLING INSTRUCTIONS
INSTALLING THE RECUTTER BAR ASSEMBLY FOR
CORN CROP - FIGURE 23
Remove the angle bars (item 1) on both sides and the
”U” plug (item 3) located underneath the Forage Har-
vester. These parts should be kept for any other type of
harvesting.
1. Slide the recutter bar (item 2) in place. Bolt and
tighten all nuts (items 4 and 5).
2. To reduce the particle size, adjust the recutter bar
closer to the cutter head.
NOTE:
In doing so the required power will increase.
3. Adjust the bar so that it will rest on the bottom.
NOTE:
When the corn ensilage shows round chopping
and/or if the corn grains are not crushed, the
recutter bar can be used.
NOTE:
The recutter bar must be removed for hay crop.

1. When the corn cobs are very dry which leads to
grain lost under the feed rolls, install the grain pan
(item 1) as shown.
2. Tighten the four holders (item 2) with four 3/8” X 3/4”
Lg carriage bolts (item 8) and four flange nuts (do
not tighten). The heads of the bolts must be on the
inside as shown on the illustration.
3. With four 3/8” X 3/4” Lg flange bolts (item 3) in the
frame holes (item 4), position the pan and tighten
the eight nuts.
4. Fasten the front plate (item 7) with three 3/8 X 3/4”
Lg carriage bolts (item 9). The head of the bolts
must be on the inside.
NOTE:
The front plate of the pan (item 7) must be re-
moved for hay crop.
NOTE:
To avoid corn cobs to be thrown in front of the
Forage Harvester, bolt the front rubber pad
(item 5) as shown and tighten well the three
flange bolts 3/8” X 3/4” Lg (item 6).
NOTE:
The front rubber pad is suitable for all types of
crops.
