ADJUSTMENTS - MAINTENANCE

WARNING: Never remove guards or make adjust-

ments while the machine or tractor engine is run-

ning.

WARNING: Make sure all guards, shields and

doors are in place and properly secured before

starting the tractor engine. When adjustments

have been done, check the machine thoroughly

for possible loose parts or bolts.

WARNING: Never park or work on a machine

without first having blocked the wheels and ap-

plied the parking brakes on the tractor.

WARNING: It is recoended to operate yourself the

hydraulic cylinder control and for your own safety

instruct anyone standing in the iediate surround-

ings to stay away from the Forage Harvester (e.g. a

distance of at least 10 feet or 3 meters).

WHEEL POSITIONING - FIGURE 157

The right-hand side of the machine is equipped with an

adjustable axle which purpose is to better distribute the

weight, whatever type of attachment is being used. It

is strongly recoended to set the shaft in the first hole

with tandem wheels and in the second hole with single

wheel.
(1) First hole - transport and operating position for

tandem wheels

(2) Second hole - recoended operating

position for singles wheels

(3) Third hole - additional position (maintenance)

and for installing or removing the cracker roll.

NOTE

: Make sure the three wear plates near the holes

are above the tube.
