5.3 Reprocessing with the DAC Universal Operating Instructions DAC Universal

When the selected cycle is completed the display will indicate as
seen on the picture.

The lid moves about halfway out of the chamber. This indicates
that a cycle has been completed and the instruments have been
reprocessed.

The cycle number is shown next to the completed cycle symbol.
10. Press the "Down"-Key.

The Flex lid will open completely.
11. Remove the Flex lid from the holder on the DAC Universal at the end
of the cycle to allow the instruments to cool down faster.
12. Place the Flex lid on the counter or put it in the lid holder.
13. Check the instruments visually to make sure they are dry.
14. Check the instruments visually to make sure they have been cleaned.
15. Notice the cycle number and check on your documentation (printer,
software, etc.) that the cycle was conducted properly: For
sterilization, "Sterilization, time, ok" must be indicated.
CAUTION
Risk of burns!
Never hold on to the lid or hold your head directly over the DAC
Universal when it opens, as steam will emerge from the device.
WARNING
After completion of the cycle, make sure that all instruments are still
properly attached to the adapters. If instruments have fallen into the
chamber during the cycle or if an instrument is no longer properly
attached after the end of a cycle, cleaning and high-level disinfection
have failed. In this case, reprocessing of the instruments must be
repeated.
CAUTION
Risk of burns!
Even when the Flex lid is half or completely open, the instruments are
still hot. Allow the extremely hot instruments to cool down after the
process.
CAUTION
Risk of burns!
The metal part of the lid is very hot. At the end of the cycle, touch only
the plastic part of the lid.
IMPORTANT
When the instruments are cooling down it is recommended to let the
heads of the instruments point downwards to speed up the cooling
process.
