PHA ACQ SS
PHA Acquisition Start / Stop. Accepts external signals to start/stop data acquisition if
using PHA mode; two software selectable modes (one for Start, Stop, or Start & Stop
modes; the other for Suspend & Resume mode).
SWEEP ADV
MCS Sweep Advance accepts external MCS sweep advance signals; polarity is
software selectable.
SYNC
Synchronization input/output signal connector for multiple DSAs running
acquisitions; signal operation and direction are software selectable.
TRP INH
Accepts inhibit signal from a transistor reset preamp; its function depends on selected
mode, Norm or Reset.
General Purpose I/O
Three general purpose input/output connectors are provided. See
Test Pulser
options in
MCA Settings | Counters
in the HTML5 web page for option settings.
GP I/0 1
Accepts signals for auxiliary counting, when Test Pulser is disabled.
GP I/O 2
Accepts signals for auxiliary counting, when Test Pulser is disabled.
GP I/O 3
By default GPIO3 provides ACQ OUT signal that can be used to drive lamp drivers.
GPIO3 can also be used to receive the Test Pulser signal (if enabled) into the
auxiliary counters.
Outputs
CHGR ADV
Sample Changer Advance output provides a pulse for each sample advance
command.
ICR
Incoming Count Rate connector provides a positive output pulse for each incoming
event above the instrument's threshold setting.
MON OUT
A snapshot image of the internally-shaped energy signal for viewing with an external
oscilloscope. Selection can be changed through the Web Client's
Maintenance
