Miscellaneous

The

Miscellaneous

tab displays settings to select the preamplifier type, TRP

characteristics, and input attenuation.

Figure 55: Miscellaneous Gain Hardware Settings

Attenuate

When set to

, enables a divide by four input/gain attenuator to minimize overload

due to preamp signals with large DC offsets and Reset Preamps with large output

ramp dynamic range.

When set to

OFF

, the signal attenuation is removed. Default is

. For better signal

to noise characteristics the Attenuator should be

Off.

setting in the

General tab

TRP Gate Polarity

Selects either

input polarity for the TRP Gate input signal.

TRP Inhibit Mode

Selects the TRP Inhibit Mode to

the signal processing

is gated off for the greater of the external RESET signal OR the Internal Inhibit Time

which is shaping-dependent. In

mode, the signal processing is inhibited for

the greater of the user-selected TRP Inhibit Time OR the external RESET signal OR
