Chapter 5 Web-Based Operations

Lynx DSA User's Manual - 9240227J

PHA ACQUIRE START/STOP

External PHA Start/Stop input connector, BNC. TTL compatible, software selectable

logic polarity for active-high or active-low. Two basic modes are supported, pulse or

level, programmable via software.

•

Pulse (DSA-2000) mode

– Requires TTL pulse, width > 50 ns, positive or

negative edge triggered, software selectable. Requires that the acquisition has

been armed through Start Acquire command.

Start

– first pulse received will begins acquisition storage. Subsequent

pulses are ignored.

Stop

– if acquisition is already active, first pulse received will stop

acquisition; subsequent pulses are ignored. No action taken if acquisition

was off when first pulse was received.

Start and Stop

– first pulse received will begins acquisition storage.

Second pulse received will stop acquisition. Subsequent pulses will be

ignored.

•

Suspend/Resume mode

– Requires TTL level, active high or active low,

software selectable. Requires that the acquisition has been armed through

Start command. Active signal begins or resumes acquisition. Inactive signal

suspends acquisition.

Either mode requires that the acquisition has been armed with start-acquire

command.

MCS ACQUIRE START/STOP

External MCS Start/Stop input connector, BNC. TTL compatible, software selectable

logic polarity for active-high or active-low. Two modes are supported, pulse or level,

programmable via software.

•
