Changing the Flat Tire
1. Turn the wheel wrench
counterclockwise to loosen
the wheel nuts.
Loosen the wheel nuts, but do
not remove them yet.
To avoid removing the wheel
wrench while loosening the
nuts, rotate the wheel wrench
handle 180°, then flip the
handle back to the starting
position.
2. Find the jacking point nearest
the tire you want to change.
To help you locate the jacking
points on your vehicle, there
are arrows pointing to notches
in the plastic molding.
3. Place the jack under the
jacking point nearest the tire
you want to change.
CAUTION
Getting under a vehicle when it
is jacked up is dangerous. If the
vehicle slips off the jack, you
could be badly injured or killed.
Never get under a vehicle when
it is supported only by a jack.
CAUTION
Raising your vehicle with the
jack improperly positioned can
damage the vehicle or may
allow the vehicle to fall off the
jack. To avoid personal injury
and vehicle damage, be sure to
fit the jack lift head into the
proper location before raising
the vehicle.
