Root Directory
The root directory will be treated
as a folder.
• If the root directory of the
MP3/WMA disc contains
compressed audio files, the
directory will be displayed as
F1 MP3 .
• If the root directory of a
USB storage device contains
compressed audio files, the
directory will be displayed as
F1 USB .
All files contained directly under
the root directory will be accessed
prior to any root directory folders.
Empty Directory or Folder
If a root directory or a folder is
empty or contains only folders, the
player will automatically advance
to the next folder in the file struc-
ture that contains a compressed
audio file. The empty folder(s) will
not be displayed or numbered.
No Folder
When the disc or USB storage
device only contains compressed
audio files without any folders, the
next and previous folder functions
will have no function.
When the disc or USB storage
device only contains compressed
audio files without any folders, all
files will be located under the root
folder.
F1 MP3 or F1 USB will appear on
the display as the name of the fold-
er.
Order of Play
The first track under the root direc-
tory will play first. When all the
tracks from the root directory have
been played, the remaining tracks
will play in the order of their
numerical listing. When the last
track of the last folder has been
played, play will continue with the
first track in the first folder or root
directory.
When a track from a new folder
begins to play, the new track
name will be displayed. However,
if folder mode has been chosen as
the default display mode, the fold-
er name will be displayed. See
"Playing an MP3 Audio File" later in
this section.
