Drain the oil from a gearbox at once after work, in a hot condi-
tion. Wash the casing with liquid industrial oils, for example

-20A GOST 20799-88. It is forbidden to wash gearbox with diesel
fuel or kerosene in order to prevent failure of the oil pump.
4 Clean and grease the gearbox air distributor parts (use the
grease

158 on TU 38.101.320-77. It is allowed the using
of Litol 24).
5 Clean and grease the auxiliary transmission piston seal col-
lars and auxiliary transmission engaging cylinder walls.
FEATURES OF ASSEMBLY
OF GEARBOX
Before installation of the auxiliary transmission with spacer on
casing of the basic gearbox and of the spacer on auxiliary transmission
casing put on the gaskets anaerobic tight compound UG-6 TU 6-01-
1285-84 from both sides by a continuous strip of width 2-3 mm along a
contour.
At installation of the input shaft bearing cap (fig. 105), auxiliary
transmission with spacer on the casing of basic gearbox (fig. 106), aux-
iliary transmission output shaft rear bearing cap (fig. 107) ensure
minimal axial shafts plays with the help of the adjusting gaskets which
have been selected as follows:
