At disconnecting of the high pressure fuel pipeline from the in-
jector (besides 51 model injectors) hold the injector union with wrench
to prevent its unscrewing and fuel leakage. Check the reliability of the
union tightening, not removing the injector from the engine.
Installation and fastening of high-pressure pipelines and drain-
age system pipelines to injectors make after installation of them and
clamp nut tightening.
At mounting and fastening of the high-pressure pipes on the en-
gines with the separate heads observe the following sequence:
1. Screw preliminary the nuts of pipe flange.
2. Install the head cover and tighten its bolt.
3. Tighten the nuts of pipe flange
To prevent the engine “racing” in the winter period of operation
it is categorically forbidden to pour over the fuel pump of high-
pressure before start-up by hot water. During all period of operation it
is forbidden the fuel pump washing with water under a pressure.
At a stop of the engine in the winter period of operation the
governor link clamp leave in the switched off position.
INJECTORS SERVICE
At service inspect and adjust every injector in the following
order:

The adjusting is recommended be made on the special stand
such as
КИ
-3333 (fig. 66), meeting GOST 10579-88.
The injection beginning pressure of 267-03, 261-11 injectors
models is adjusted with the screw at the removed injector cap and un-
screwed lock nut. At the screw screwing-in the pressure increased, at
screwing-out - decreased.
