REMOVAL OF SCALE 

FROM COOLING SYSTEM  

The scale from the cooling system delete by a solution technical 

thrylone (TU 6-01-634-71) in a water of concentration 20 g/l. Thrylone 
- the powder of white colour, is not poisonous, is easily dissolved in a 
water, does not cause foaming of a water at its heating and boiling. 

Fill the cooling system  with the solution of thrylone. After one 

day of engine run (not less than 6-7 h) merge a spent solution and fill 
the system with fresh one. Continue the washing during four-five days. 
After the washing ending fill the cooling system with water containing 
2  g/l  of  thrylone.  If  thrylone  is  absent,  the  scale  from  cooling  system 
delete with the solution consisting of calcium (washing) soda in quan-
tity  0,5  kg  and  1,0  kg  of  kerosene  on  10  l  of  water.  Fill  the  cooling 
system with that solution for 24 hours, from which the engine not less 
than 8  hours  should run on an operational  mode then  merge the  solu-
tion while the engine is hot, and after it cooling wash the cooling sys-
tem with clean water.
