MAINTENANCE SERVICE
The kinds and periodicity of clutch service are the same as for
engine. The maintenance service includes daily checking of the clutch
work on the vehicle for availability of the slipping, non-complete re-
leasing and noise, also lubrication of the clutch release coupling bear-
ing and fork shaft at every M-2.
The clutch slipping is exposed during the gear shifting, when af-
ter releasing of pedal and sharp increase of crankshaft speed the speed
of a vehicle is not increased. The incomplete releasing has some char-
acteristic attributes:
•
The synchronized gear engagement is hindered;
•
The non-synchronized gear engagement occurs with charac-
teristic gnash;
•
The vehicle moves when the lowest gear is on and the clutch
pedal is pressed.
CAUTION!
AT CLUTCH SLIP WITH PEDAL COMPLETELY
RELEASED, AND AT UNCOMPLETELY CLUTCH DISENGAG-
ING OPERATION IS NOT ALLOWED..
The lubricant is supplied to coupling through the hose grease
cup until appearance of grease in the clearance between the bearing
bush and the reflecting washer. The lubrication of the fork shaft carried
out through two grease-cups for two strokes of the grease gun.
For providing normal functioning of clutch periodically check
the correct adjusting of the clutch drive unit. See the information on
maintenance service of that unit in the “Vehicle Instruction manual”.
INSTALLATION OF CLUTCH ONTO ENGINE
The clutch installation onto the engine is made in the following
order:

Install the driven plate using the special mandrel on the fly-
wheel. The friction overlay riveted to the spring plate,
should be faced to the pressure plate while the elongated
hub part - outside (from engine);

Install the pressure plate with the cover in assembly, ensur-
ing the alignment of cover and flywheel attachment holes;
3
Tighten bolts manually on depth not less than 4 mm;
