REMOVING AND
INSTALLING CYLINDER HEAD
The cylinder head should be removed only for correcting de-
fects of the cylinder-and-piston group, cylinder head gasket, the valves
or for replacing the cylinder head proper.
Remove the cylinder head in the following order:
1
Drain coolant from the engine cooling system.
2 Disconnect all the pipes from the cylinder head and take
measures to prevent dust and dirt from getting in.
3 Remove the cylinder head cover.
4 Unscrew the injector clamp nuts (fig. 81), remove injectors
(fig. 82), taking measure to protect the spray tips from im-
pacts and dirt.

5 Unscrew the fastening nuts of rocker axle, take off the axles
complete with rockers and take out the push rods.
