3 remove the lock retainers, unscrew the unions, and, using a
special remover tool (fig. 93) take the seats complete with
delivery valves out of the pump housing. To remove, screw
remover tool mandrel 2 on the threads of delivery valve seat
1 until bushing 3 comes to bear against the pump housing.
Turning the remover eccentric upward, take out the delivery
valve seat (fig. 94).

4 remove the lock screw of the plunger barrel and pull the
plunger from pump housing;
5 compress the spring a little and take it out of the pump hous-
ing complete with the upper retainer, swivel bushing and
gear rim;
6 remove the tappet from the guide in the housing.
To assemble the section, reverse the disassembly operation,
paying attention to the following points:
а
) the delivery valve with its seat and plunger-barrel pairs are
precision units, which should be replaced as complete sets only;
b) the swivel bushing assembled with the gear rim should be in-
stalled with the rack in the middle position (relative to pump housing)
so that the rim slot is in the plane of the axis of the hole for the lock
