Before assembly the spray tip and needle carefully wash up in
the clean diesel fuel. The needle should easily move: put forward from
spray case on one third of guide length, at an inclination of the spray
on 45
°
from a vertical, the needle owes smoothly, without jerks com-
pletely to fall under action of its weight.
The injector assembly make in a reversal sequence to disassem-
bly. At the nut tightening turn the spray tip against a direction of the
nut screwing and against the stop in fixing pins and, holding it in this
position, screw the nut by a hand, then finally tighten it.
The spray nut tightening torque is 70…80 Nm (7…8 kgf·m), in-
jector union body – 80…100 Nm (8…10 kgf·m).
After assembly adjust the injector for injection beginning pres-
sure, check up the fuel injection quality and clearness of spray work-
ing.
The installation of the injectors or spray tips inappropriate to the
engines is categorically forbidden
.

Before the beginning of adjusting wash up the pump and gover-
nor oil cavity with clean diesel fuel and fill with fresh oil used for the
engine, up to a level of drainage hole. On time of tests the oil drain
union must be plugged.
The checking and adjusting of the fuel injection pump should be
carried-out by the qualified personnel in conditions of workshop.
