THE FIRST MAINTENANCE SERVICE (M-1) 

1

 

Drain  sediment  from  fuel  filters,  start  the  engine  and  let  it 

run  for  3  or  4  minutes  to  remove  air  locks.  In  winter  the  sedi-
ment is to be drained every day after the work is over. 

2

 

Check and, if necessary, adjust the tension of the drive belts. 

3

 

Wash-up the centrifugal oil filter. 

4

 

Check and if necessary adjust the free travel of clutch drive 

coupling. 

5

 

Carry  out  the  maintenance  service  of  gearbox  (see  the  sec-

tion «Gear Box»). 

6

 

At first M-1 remove the injectors and carry out their service. 

At  the  subsequent  operation  service  the  injectors  after  every 
1000 hours.

Change  the  oil  filter  element.  If  the  warning  signal  lamp  is 

flashing  on  the  warmed-up  engine,  then  the  element  is  to  be 
changed earlier than the specified term expires.

Change  the  filtering  elements  of  the  fuel  course-cleaning  

filter. 

SECOND MAINTENANCE SERVICE (M-2) 

1

 

Perform all operations of M-1. 

2

 

Check and if necessary adjust the injection advance angle. 

3

 

Change the oil in the lubrication system. 

4

 

Change  the  oil  filter  element.  If  the  warning  signal  lamp  is 

flashing  on  the  warmed-up  engine,  then  the  element  is  to  be 
changed earlier than the specified term expires. 

5

 

Change the element of think cleaning fuel filter. 

6

 

Fill  with  grease  the  bearing  cavity  of  air  compressor  drive 

tension device. 

7

 

Tighten up the threaded joints of high-pressure fuel injection 

pump drive coupling.
