SWEEP SYSTEM
The front skirt “R” (see figure 7) keeps litter from being thrown out of the broom housing. It also acts as a
ramp to help guide the litter off of the floor and into the hopper.
Small inner side skirts “S” on the left and right ends of the broom housing keep debris and water from flowing
around the ends of the sweeping broom.
The large outer skirts “T” keep water confined to the squeegee area for pick-up.

FRONT SKIRT REMOVAL / ADJUSTMENT
1
See Figure 7. Remove the (2) “U” bolts and slide the front skirt assembly out from under the machine.
2
Remove the “V” screws and remove the skirt “R” from the angle.
3
When installing the new skirt, the top edge of the skirt should be up against the angle as shown.
4
Mount the skirt assembly on the front of the broom housing and check the distance between the bottom
of the skirt and the floor. If necessary, reposition the skirt so that it is 1/8 to 1/4 inch (3 to 6 mm) off of the
floor.
Note: The machine will not sweep properly if the front skirt drags on the floor. Trim the skirt if necessary to
obtain proper floor clearance.

INNER SIDE SKIRT ADJUSTMENT / REMOVAL
Adjust the inner side skirts “S” (see figure 7) if the machine leaves a narrow trail of debris at one or both ends
of the broom (with the squeegee up). Inspect the skirts before adjusting, replace them if they are torn.
