BRUSH LIFT LIMIT SWITCHES
The UP and DOWN limit switches for the brush lift system are mounted on the brush lift actuator (see Figure
12).
When a malfunction occurs in the brush lift system, the solution tank should be removed from the machine to
allow a thorough troubleshooting inspection.
Follow the steps below to inspect the brush lift limit switch mechanism.
1
Remove the solution tank from the machine (see
Solution System
chapter for instructions).
2
Check the mechanical condition of the UP
and DOWN limit switches. Replace
damaged switches as required.
3
Check the electrical operation of the UP
and DOWN limit switches, using a continu-
ity tester. Replace switches as required.
Note: When installing new limit switches,
position them as close together as their mount-
ing slots will allow. Then tightening the mount-
ing screws.
4
Check the condition of the switch bracket,
replace if bent.
5
Check the position of the switch bracket on
the actuator barrel. The bottom of the
bracket clamp should be even with the
bottom of the actuator barrel. Surface “M”
on the bracket should be square (perpen-
dicular) with the frame member behind the
actuator. If adjustment is necessary,
loosen bolt “L” and reposition the switch
bracket.
