SWEEP SYSTEM

BROOM MOTOR SWITCH
The broom motor switch is located at the bottom of the sweeping broom lever. The switch automatically starts
the broom motor when the lever is moved to either the “sweep” or the “full-float” position. Remove the access
panel on the left side of the operator’s compartment for access to the switch.

BROOM BELT ADJUSTMENT / REMOVAL
To adjust the broom belt . . .

See Figure 6. Open the left side access door and loosen the (2) “K” bolts.

Loosen the (2) “L” lock nuts.

Adjust the belt tension by turning the (2)
“M” bolts.

Adjust the (2) “M” bolts so that there is a 1
inch (2.57 cm) space at the idler pulley, as
shown in Figure 6.
To remove the broom belt . . .

Lower the sweeping broom to the floor.

See Figure 6. Open the left side access
door and loosen the (2) “K” bolts.

Loosen the belt tension by turning the (2)
“M” bolts counterclockwise.

Remove belt tension spring “N”.
5
Work the belt off of the broom drive motor
pulley.

Open the lower left side access door.
Remove the (2) “P” bolts and carefully pry
the two arms apart.
7
Remove the cotterpin from linkage “Q” and
disconnect the linkage from the arm.
