Delay parameter compensates for this external delay, and only takes effect only
when the “PreRead” record mode is selected with softkey
. A PreRead
Delay value of 00.00 is used when there is no external delay in the path from the
Attaché output back to input.
Type a value into the numeric keypad and then press softkey to set the
value, expressed in frames. The range of values permitted is from 0 to 5 frames.
If you enter a value greater than 5 frames, then the maximum of 5 frames is taken.

F4 Program Delay
This softkey function is used to define the amount of delay during PGM Delay
record operations. This value is used only if the PGM Delay record mode is
selected with softkey
. When the Program Delay value is set to 00.00, the
Program Delay recordings will immediately playback the video, key and audio just
recorded.
By typing a timecode value into the numeric keypad and then pressing the
softkey, you change the Program Delay value. This value defines an
amount of time that must expire before playback of video will begin after a
recording was started. Specifying a timecode value for Program Delay will cause
the video output from Attaché to show “black” (with audio muted) for the
duration of the Program Delay. Once the program delay has expired, the Attaché
will then begin playing the video off the disk

even while the recording is still
underway.
For example, assuming a Program Delay value of
2.00.00
with PGM Delay
active, a new recording starting at
15.00
seconds on the disk will begin
recording at
15.00
, but the video output will remain black during the first
2.00.00
minutes of record time (the value of the Program Delay). While the
recording is underway, when timecode

is reached, the video output
from Attaché will switch from Black to off-disk playback

with the playback
starting at the same point at which the recording started. Refer to Figure 2.31
