Selects the 525 (NTSC) Line Standard, with 10-bit
recording and playback resolution on disk.

Selects the 625 (PAL) Line Standard, with 8-bit
recording and playback resolution on disk.

recording and playback resolution on disk.

When changing between the 525 and 625 line standards (or vice versa),
the “Play Ref ” parameter in this menu will automatically change to the
“Free Run” setting. Be sure to select the correct “Play Ref ” parameter
after changing line standards.

F7 Access Limit
Pressing (
Access Limit
) toggles the selection between
Disk Ends
and
Pre & Post
. This parameter lets you select whether non-editor access to the
Attaché is bound to the limits of the physical disk timeline or to an imaginary
“black” area before and after the physical disk timeline. This “black” area is 5
minutes before and 5 minutes after the physical disk end-stops, and can only be
accessed via GOTO seek commands. This extended Pre- and Post-roll area is also
available during Segment Play mode. An external editing system can always
access this extended area

regardless of the setting of this parameter.
Toggle the setting between “Disk Ends” and “Pre & Post”:

Disk Ends
Turns OFF the virtual pre- and post-roll areas of the
system. The timecode on the disk is restricted from
00.00 at the start to the physical end of disk.

Pre & Post
Turns ON the virtual pre- and post-roll areas of the
system. With the pre- and post-roll enabled, the starting
timecode on the disk is 23:55:00:00, while the end of
disk is 5 minutes (5:00:00) beyond the physical end of
disk.
The default setting is “Disk Ends”.
