When the button is pressed, the LED within the button is
illuminated while the disk is seeking to the next field or frame, to
indicate that disk jogging is underway. As soon as the next field
or frame is reached, the LED extinguishes. If the button is held
down for more than one second, the LED within the button is
illuminated steadily to indicate that disk jogging is underway. As
soon as the button is released and the last field or frame is jogged,
the LED within the button extinguishes.
There’s also a secondary function for the button, in which you
may immediately seek the disk to the 0.00 timecode point
(physical start of disk during Normal Play, or to the start of the
segment list during Seg Play). This is done by first pressing and
holding down the
button, and then pressing the button at the
same time. The disk immediately seeks to the 00.00 timecode.
All other transport buttons (except for and ) are canceled
and thus turned OFF by pressing the button. The REC and
AUTO EDIT functions can be canceled only by pressing the
button.
This button is used to jog the disk forward by one field or one
frame (depending upon the current setting of the output mode).
After pressing and holding down the button for one second, the
disk will jog in a repeating manner, equal to approximately 1/4
play speed.
