If the
button is pressed while the button is being held down,
the recording operation starts at the current disk position and uses
the currently set recording duration. While the Attaché is
recording, the LED within the red button is solidly illuminated,
while the LEDs within the
button and all other transport
buttons are extinguished. When the end of the recording interval
is reached, the LED within the button is then extinguished and
is illuminated.
You may set a new recording duration (without initiating a
recording operation) by first typing the desired value of the record
duration into the numeric keypad, and then pressing the button.
The status menu overlay on the Attaché composite video output
shows the new record duration.
Alternatively, you may type the new record duration into the
numeric keypad, and then press and hold down the button (to
set the new record duration

that is shown on the menu overlay
display). While still holding down the button, you may then
press the
button to initiate the record operation. As soon as the
button is pressed, the new recording begins, for the duration
just specified.
All other transport buttons (except for ) are canceled and thus
turned OFF by pressing the and
buttons together. No other
transport function is canceled by pressing only the button by
itself. The Record and Auto Edit functions can be canceled only
by pressing the
button.
The button is used to play the disk backward (rewind) from the
current disk position, at 35 times normal play speed. When the
button is pressed, the LED within the button is illuminated to
indicate that disk rewind is underway. All other LEDs in all other
transport buttons are OFF during rewind operation.
