you had made prior to installing the audio option will
present “static” when played after installing the option.
In such a case, the default “OFF” setting for the
Program Mute function changes to “OFF (Auto)”. This
indicates that there is no valid audio on the disk, and
the audio output will be automatically muted when an
attempt to play the disk is made.
After you make a valid audio recording, the valid audio
material will not be muted. Once you have recorded
valid audio (or silence or tone) over the entire disk and
then reboot the Attaché, you will find that this Program
Mute selection is no longer available.

Mutes the audio on both the main audio and headphone
audio outputs.

F4 Headphone Vol (Volume)
This parameter is used to adjust the volume of the headphone output. This setting
does not affect the main audio output. The indicator in the right column displays the
current volume setting; from 1 (lowest) to 11! (highest). There are three ways of
adjusting the volume setting:
1. Toggle Method. To change the audio Headphone Vol parameter by toggling the
softkey repeatedly:

Toggle the softkey until the desired volume is attained.
2. Numeric Method. To change the audio Headphone Vol parameter by a precise
number:
