The button is used to enable or disable the key track (in
machines equipped with the KeyTrack Option) for recording
purposes. It’s used for both “direct” record and “Auto Edit”
recordings -- assuming the recording device has the KeyTrack
option fitted. The button simply toggles between key track record
enable ON (LED on) or key track record enable OFF (LED off).
If the Attaché is not fitted with the key channel option, pressing
the button causes the following error message to appear in the
numeric display and in the status monitor overlay:
No Key Option!
This message is present for as long as the
button is held down,
and for one second after the button is released.
If the KeyTrack option is fitted in the Attaché, and the record
format in the Record Setup menu is set for RGB two-wire
recording, then the button has no function. The LED within the
button will illuminate any time the button is active while the
RGB two-wire record mode is selected.
The and buttons are used to enable or disable the given audio
tracks (in machines so equipped) for recording purposes. It’s used
for both “direct” record and “Auto Edit” recordings -- assuming
the recording device has audio channels installed. The and
buttons simply toggle between audio track record enable ON (LED
on) or audio track record enable OFF (LED off).
If the Attaché is not fitted with the audio option, pressing either
the or the button causes the following error message to appear
in the numeric display and in the status monitor overlay:
No Audio Option!
This message is present for as long as the or the button is held
down, and for one second after being released.
