) to toggle the audio output mute ON or OFF.
The Program Mute function will only mute the main audio and headphone audio
outputs, and does not affect the main audio input. Further, the Program Mute
function does not affect the video or key at all.

OFF
The default setting. This setting allows the off-disk and
bypass (input) audio to be heard on the main audio and
headphone audio outputs.

OFF (Auto)
This setting is available only if you have installed the
audio option after taking delivery of the Attaché system
from the factory. In other words, if you have installed
the audio option yourself. When you do, the recordings
you had made prior to installing the audio option will
present “static” when played after installing the option.
In such a case, the default “OFF” setting for the
Program Mute function changes to “OFF (Auto)”. This
indicates that there is no valid audio on the disk, and
the audio output will be automatically muted when an
attempt to play the disk is made.
After you make a valid audio recording, the valid audio
material will not be muted. Once you have recorded
valid audio (or silence or tone) over the entire disk and
then reboot the Attaché, you will find that this Program
Mute selection is no longer available.

audio outputs.
