A6. Errors and Troubleshooting
We describe here the problems that may occur under each usage environment (when
connected to a display, when connected to a PC, when connected to a modem) and the
corresponding corrective actions.
When Connected to a Display

Equipment number is valid.

02: FE error occurs
RS-232-C cable is incorrect.

Check that pins 7, 8 are connected.
02-51 error occurs
A command from the Personal Computer Link
module to the CPU module has timed out.
Set the number of retries on the
display
02-52 error occurs
Processing error has occurred in CPU module.
An attempt is made to display a device not
supported by the CPU module.
Set the value to data within the
device range of the CPU module.
Other error code
occurs
Refer to the manual of the display device.
Backlight has reached the end of its service life. Replace the backlight.
Screen data is not transferred. Transfer screen data.
Nothing is displayed on
the screen .
(complete darkness)
The number on the initial screen is invalid.
Set the number of the initial screen
correctly.
*: The above error codes apply only to the TOP series display. (They are displayed on the last line of the display).
When Connected to a PC

The STX and station number in the command is

Append a valid STX and station

(station number should be “01”)

Rectify the problem according to the error code table.
The transmission data count specified is
incorrect or zero.
Write the correct transmission data
count (in bytes) into data position
number 101/401. The event is not
transmitted.
Request to Transmit relay is not turned on.
In a multi-CPU configuration, set up
so that no other CPU is using the
relay.
*: If a protocol analyzer is available, connect it between the PC and the module to observe the commands and
responses flowing to-and-fro.
