C4.1 For F3LC11-1N and F3LC11-2N Modules
The transmission specification of this module should match that on the PC (or display) end
to achieve communication.
Set the transmission specification of the module using the hardware setting switches (see
Sections C2.1.2 and C3.1.2, “Setting Module Switches”). Set the transmission specification
of the PC using a communication software (program). In the case of a display, do it by
setting the configuration.
We describe briefly below how to communicate using PC BASIC. For details on
the statements and functions that are used here, please refer to the BASIC
reference manual of your PC.
[1] Use the OPEN statement to open the RS-232-C (or RS-422) communication file.
OPEN”COM:*****”AS# n
Specify communication parameters such as parity, data bit length, and stop bit
length in *****.

indicates the file number. Thereafter, input to and output from
the file refers to this file number.
[2] Use a PRINT statements to transmit commands to the FA-M3.
PRINT# n , character type variable name (or character string)
[3] Use the following statements and functions to receive a response from the FA-M3.
