(1) STX
The STX character (control code) identifies the beginning of text. Its ASCII code is
“$02” so the character cannot be entered directly from the normal keyboard. To
enter the character, hold the [Ctrl] key and press the [B] key (^B) in a terminal
software application or other software.
(2) Station Number (2 characters)
In RS-232-C models of the Personal Computer Link module, the station number is
fixed at “01”.
In RS-422/485 models, the PC link station number is set using the two rotary
switches in front of the module. (setting range: 01-32).
(3) CPU Number (2 characters)
When multiple CPUs are used in the FA-M3, this specifies the target CPU for a
command. (Specify a number from “01” to “04". If there is only one FA-M3 CPU
module, specify “01”).
When reading from X, Y, E relays and R registers, the same value is read
regardless of the specified CPU number. If the CPU number assigned in the I/O
configuration is not specified during writing, output refresh cannot be carried out.
(4) Response Wait Time (one character)
You can specify the waiting time (time delay) for a response following a command
transmission. Set a longer wait time if programming is done using a BASIC
interpreter, etc. on the higher-level computer. (Setting range: 0 to F).
