front side.

6. Remove:

water pump assembly

O-rings

7. Remove:

cylinder head cover

gasket

8. Remove:

timing check plug

(with O-ring)

center plug

(with O-ring)

9. Measure:

valve clearance
Out of specification

Adjust.

a. Turn the crankshaft counterclockwise.
b. When the piston is at TDC on the compres-

sion stroke, align the “I” mark

on the

Exhaust valve
