7.2 Messages
This section explains the different messages that appear on the display.
7.2.1 Messages about printer condition
When the printer is in normal condition, "Normal Message" and "Notice Message" will be
displayed.
Message Type Status
Normal The printer system is being diagnosed or
initialised. This message is displayed when the
power is on or when the system is reset. After
a while, it will change to "Ready".
Normal The printer is ready to receive print/fax data
from the host device.
Normal The main frame is in operation or the main
frame control panel is being used. Wait awhile.
When the main frame operation has ended,
press Clear All on the main frame control
panel.
Normal The printer is being warmed up to print/fax the
data received.
Print/fax data can be received from the
host device.
Normal Printing in progress.
Print/fax data can be received from the
host device.
Normal The printer is waiting for print data.
Print/fax data can be received from the
host device.
Normal The printer is waiting for fax data.
Print/fax data can be received from the
host device.
• *: number xxxx: port status XXXX: mode
• When the fax feature is not installed, the message "Print/Fax Ready" becomes "Print Ready".
