Explanation
Memory Changes
• Receive Buffer Memory (For lpd/PD Spool)
• After removing the additional RAM module and switching on the power, the
following process will be executed automatically if memory becomes
insufficient compared with the previous memory setting:
(1) Change and allocate the setting values of the various memories (e.g.
Receive buffer memory).
(2) If allocation in (1) is not possible, stop the status of port related to
Ethernet and reallocate.
To increase the memory capacity of the receive buffer, either stop the status
of port not in use or install the additional RAM module.
Port Status
Sets the state of the various ports when the power is switched on.
• Parallel
Sets to activate/inactivate the parallel port when the power is on.
The candidate values are as follows:
• Enabled (Default)

• Disabled
Inactivates the parallel port when the power is on.
• Serial
Sets to activate/inactivate the serial port when the power is on.
The candidate values are as follows:
• Enabled
Activates the serial port when the power is on.
• Disabled (Default)

• lpd/PD*
Sets to activate/inactivate the lpd/PD port when the power is on.
The candidate values are as follows:
• Enabled
Activates the port in use by lpd/PD when the power is on.
• Disabled (Default)
