Store the toner cartridge in its original package following the appropriate
guidelines in “Handling the Toner Cartridge” in chapter 1.
Removing the Optional Feeder

Make sure the printer is off, the power cord and all interface cables are
disconnected, all media is removed, and the top and front covers are closed
securely.
The printer weighs approximately 27 lbs (12 kg) without toner, cassettes, and media
installed. Always lift the printer from the bottom recessed grip areas on each side (not
from cassette openings) and keep it level within 5
°
.

Lift the printer straight up and free of the feeder’s pegs (fig. 8.17); then, set the
printer aside on a level surface capable of handling its weight.

Repack the optional feeder in its original packing materials, making sure to
include the cassette with its cover.
If you are not shipping the paper cassette feeder, store it in a location that meets the
guidelines for storing your printer (see “Storing the Printer” in chapter 7).
