Print slants or will not print in the desired location.
• Media guides in the cassette may not be positioned correctly.
Reposition them and make sure the media size dial is set
correctly (see “Standard Cassette” or “Multipurpose Cassette”
in chapter 1).
Vertical blanks appear in output.
• The toner cartridge may not be installed properly. Reinstall the
cartridge (see “Removing and Installing the Toner Cartridge” in
chapter 1).
• The toner cartridge may be damaged or need replacing. Replace
the cartridge (see “Removing and Installing the Toner
Cartridge” in chapter 1).
Media wrinkles.
• Media may not meet printer requirements in chapter 6. If
necessary, replace the media (see “Standard Cassette” or
“Multipurpose Cassette” in chapter 1).
• Media may be damp. If necessary, replace the media, making
sure it meets the requirements in chapter 6 (see “Standard
Cassette” or “Multipurpose Cassette” in chapter 1).
• Media may be loaded incorrectly. Reload the media, making
sure it meets the requirements in chapter 6 (see “Standard
Cassette” or “Multipurpose Cassette” in chapter 1).
Print is smudged.
• Media may be damp. If necessary, replace the media, making
sure it meets the requirements in chapter 6 (see “Standard
Cassette” or “Multipurpose Cassette” in chapter 1).
