Legal 8.50" x 14.00" (215 mm x 355 mm) paper size is supported only by the
multipurpose tray when the tray’s media size dial is set to Others.
Do not run paper which has been printed already; this may cause printer damage or
jams. Also, do not touch the rubber section in front of the multipurpose cassette; this
can cause a paper feed error.
To load the multipurpose cassette
Make sure all media used meets the media specifications in chapter 6.
1. Lift the cassette gently, pull it straight out, and set it on a flat surface (fig. 1.29).
Then, lift the cassette cover straight up and off (1.30).

2. Pull up the side guide lock, slide the side guide to the appropriate media size,
and then push down the lock (fig. 1.31).
