IN THE EVENT OF MALFUNCTION OF THE BATTERY, THE
ABS - ASR SYSTEM TURNS OFF.

ASR SYSTEM CALIBRATION PROCEDURE (For the EURO 5 version).

In order to maintain the effectiveness of the ASR system following the replacement of one or both tyres

a calibration procedure of the system must be performed as follows on a straight flat stretch of road.

Please note that the request for activation of the procedure (steps 1 to 4) must be completed within 60

sec from ignition on the engine.

• It is necessary that the diagnostic phase of the ASR systems and ABS is complete: for this purpose,

after the key ON, ride a short distance above 5 km/h and wait for the flashing of the ABS indicator light

to stop; The ASR icon stays switched on steady.

• Turn the ASR system off by pressing the specific button "

" on the handlebar and check that the ASR

disabling icon "

" is switched off.

• Allow the engine to idle for at least 3 seconds.

• Press the ASR on/off button «

» and one of the two brake levers simultaneously for at least 4 seconds.

The activation process will be confirmed by the ASR icon «

» turning on with slow flashing.

• Accelerate to a constant speed of 30 to 40 km/h and maintain it for at least 7 to 8 seconds.

• The end of the procedure will be indicated by the ASR icon "

" switched on steadily.

• Once the procedure is complete it is necessary to turn off the vehicle panel (key off) and wait 30

seconds before turning the panel on (key on).

• If the procedure is not memorised, the ASR icon "

" will switch off, but the system will stay active until

the panel is switched off (key off). If the system is voluntarily disabled and enabled again, the ASR icon

will stay switched off.

• At the next engine start (key on), the ASR system will return to the standard operation with the previ-

ously memorised value.

It is however necessary to repeat the process until it succeeds.

For the EURO 3 - EURO 4 version
