Sine wave generator leveling procedure

Some procedures in this manual require a sine wave generator to produce the
necessary test signals. If you do not have a leveled sine wave generator, use one
of the following methods to level the output amplitude of your sine wave
generator.

Method 1

Equipment required

Prerequisites

Sine wave generator (Item  9)
Meter, power and sensor (Item  10)
Power splitter (Item  11)
50 Ω precision cable 2.92 mm male-to-female
(Item 12)
One K male-to-male adapter (Item  13)

1. Install the test hookup:

Connect the equipment as shown in the above figure.

2. Set the Generator:

■

Set the sine wave generator to a reference frequency of 10 MHz.

■

Adjust the sine wave generator amplitude to the required number of
divisions as measured by the instrument.
