2C-7 Rear Suspension:
Cushion Lever
Inspect the cushion lever for damage. If any defect is
found, replace the cushion lever with a new one.
Cushion Rod
Inspect the cushion rods for damage and bend. If any
defects are found, replace the cushion rods with new
ones.
Cushion Lever Bearing Removal and
Installation

Removal
1) Remove the cushion lever. Refer to “Cushion Lever /
Cushion Rod Removal and Installation (Page 2C-5)”.
2) Remove the cushion lever bearings using the special
tools.
Special tool
(A): 09921–20240 (Bearing remover set)
(B): 09913–70210 (Bearing installer set)
Installation
CAUTION
!
The removed bearings must be replaced with
new ones.
1) Press the bearings into the cushion lever at 1 mm
(0.04 in) depth “A” and 0.25 mm (0.01 in) depth “B”
from the cushion laver surface with the special tool.
NOTE
When installing the bearing, stamped mark
on the bearing must face outside.
