3 1) Connect the ECM coupler and TO sensor coupler.
2) Remove the TO sensor. Refer to “TO Sensor Removal
and Installation in Section 1C (Page 1C-5)”.
3) Insert the needle pointed probes to the lead wire coupler.
4) Turn the ignition switch ON.
5) Measure the voltage at the wire side coupler between
Br/W wire and B/Br wire.
Special tool
(A): 09900–25008 (Multi-circuit tester set)
(B): 09900–25009 (Needle pointed probe set)

Voltage (

TO sensor voltage (Normal)
0.4 – 1.4 V
((+) terminal: Br/W – (–) terminal: B/Br)
6) Measure the voltage when it is leaned 65
°
and more to
left and right, from the horizontal level.
TO sensor voltage (Leaning)
3.7 – 4.4 V
((+) terminal: Br/W – (–) terminal: B/Br)
Is the voltage OK?
• Replace the ECM
with a new one. Refer
to “ECM Removal
and Installation in
Section 1C
(Page 1C-1)”.
• Replace the TO
sensor with a new
one. Refer to “TO
Sensor Removal and
Installation in Section
1C (Page 1C-5)”.
