Install the Motherboard

When replacing the motherboard, remove the SC PROM from the old motherboard and

install this component on the new motherboard. The SPM contains the Oracle ILOM system

configuration data, and the SC PROM contains the system host ID and MAC address.

Transferring this component preserves system-specific information.

Remove the old motherboard from the server.

Keep track of the original locations of parts that will be installed on the new motherboard.

Unpack the replacement motherboard and place it on an antistatic mat.
